Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers average, dry to medium, well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade. Tolerates full shade and a wide range of growing conditions. Plants should be trimmed regularly to keep it controlled. Light pruning can be done anytime but major pruning should be done in late winter - early spring. Plant in areas where it has room to expand. Do not allow it to grow up shingled walls as they are difficult to remove and will damage the paint.
