Common Name: Mountain Laurel
Multi-stemmed, evergreen shrub with elliptic, leathery, glossy green leaves. Terminal clusters of cup-shaped, five-sided flowers bloom in late spring - early summer. Flowers come in a variety of colors including white, pink and red often with purple markings inside. If not deadheaded spent flowers are followed by brown fruit capsules that last into winter. Great for mass plantings, shrub borders and woodland gardens.
