Common Name: Spreading Yew
Evergreen shrub with a broad-columnar or spreading, mounded habit and linear, spiny-tipped, dark green needles oftened tinged yellow beneath. Foliage may turn reddish-brown or yellow in winter with scaly, reddish brown bark. Male shrubs have small, yellowish, pollen cones in spring and female plants produce red, berry-like cones with a single seed which is ornamental. Great as specimens, in foundation plantings, hedges and privacy screens.
