Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers moist, well-drained, slightly acidic to neutral, fertile, loamy soil and full sun. Water frequently until established. Prune in winter to promote open branching and good air flow. Plants can be fertilized yearly in early spring with an organic fertilizer. Mulching is beneficial. Most Japanese Plums need another variety to cross-pollinate.
