Multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with ovate to elliptic green or variegated leaves. Flat-topped clusters of white or pink flowers bloom in late spring, sometimes intermittently into early summer. Flowers give way to white berries which ripen in mid-summer. Great for foundation plantings, hedges or as a specimen and some varieties are prized for their red or yellow stems.
