Easy to grow perennial with yellow or orange flowers for 3 months!  Flowers bloom early summer-fall.  A nector source for hummingbirds, Monarch butterflies and bees!

Native to North America.  Found naturally in dry fields and on slopes, it does not require rich soil or much moisture. Plant in the full sun with well-drained soil(especially in winter). Very drought tolerant when established.  Late to emerge in the spring.  Seed pods rupture and spread their seeds in the fall.
