Evergreen, mat-forming perennial with ovate to lanceolate, dark green leaves and trailing stems. Phlox-like, pale violet-blue flowers bloom in late spring and sporadically through summer and into fall. Great as a groundcover, on slopes and banks, containers and trailing over rock walls.

Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers average to humus-rich, moist, well-drained soil with full sun to partial shade. Tolerates near full shade and drought once established. Plants do spread aggressively so placing it in an area where it can be controlled and monitored is recommended, considered invasive in some areas. Plants can be pruned back in early spring or leggy stems can be trimmed through the year.
