Prefers average to organically rich, well-drained, moist soil and partial to full shade. Drought tolerant once established and tolerant of some wet soil. Will grow in more sun if roots are kept moist and cool. Plants may benefit from being covered in winter when grown in the northern part of its range. Deadheading promotes further flowering.

Common Name: Indian Pink
Clump-forming perennial with ovate to lance-shaped, glossy green leaves. Trumpet-shaped, red flowers are upward-facing with yellow interiors, forming a star-shape at the top of the flower. Blooms from late spring to early summer. Great for borders, woodland gardens and wildflower gardens.
