Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Roses grow best in full sun and in well drained soil. Keep well watered first season after planting to establish a good root system. Roses will flower and grow best when fertilized several times during the growing season. Prune dead wood and to maintain shape of the bush. Removing spent flowers will promote additional blossoms. Putting a heavy layer of mulch of compost on the base of the plant in late fall will help protect the bush's roots throughout the winter.
Climbing roses need their canes to be trained on the trellis or support you wish.
