Deciduous, dense, low-growing shrub with trifoliate, green leaves turning orange, red and purple in fall. Leaves and twigs are aromatic when bruised. Tiny yellow flowers bloom in early spring. Female flowers give way to small clusters of hairy, red berries that may persist into winter. Great for soil stabilization, naturalized areas and informal hedges.
