Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers medium moisture, well-drained, humusy loam and full sun. Plant two or more varieties for best cross-pollination. Trees may not bear fruit for multiple years after planting depending on the cultivar and rootstock of the tree. Feed yearly with an organic fertilizer. Pruning can be done in winter to encourage open branching and good airflow.
