Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers moist, well-drained, sandy loam, slightly acidic to neutral soil and full sun. Pruning can be done in late summer or in late winter/early spring. Plants can be fertilized 3 to 5 years after planting, in spring/early summer with organic matter or a balanced fertilizer. Mulching is beneficial.
