Upright, spreading, deciduous shrub with ovate to rounded, 3-5 lobed, green, coppery or purplish-burgundy leaves. Clusters of small, pink or white flowers bloom in late spring. Flowers may give way to drooping clusters of reddish fruit. Great mass planted, in shrub borders, as a hedge or used for erosion control.
