Grow Lupines in full sun or light shade. An excellent plant for dry sandy soil.  Ensure soil is well drained or the plant will have root rot.  Deadheading spent flowers will extend bloom time.  If you want the plant to naturalize, however; allow blooms to dry and drop their seeds.
