Deciduous conifer with an open pyramidal shape and horizontal branching. Slender green needles grow in brush-like clusters and turn a showy yellow in fall before falling off as winter approaches. The bark of mature trees is a scaly, reddish-brown. Great for colder climates as a specimen or in group plantings.
