Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Prefers average to organically rich, acidic, medium to wet soil and full sun to partial shade. Plants have good tolerance for poorly drained, wet boggy conditions. Only fertilized female plants will produce the attractive red berries and generally one male plant will be sufficient for pollinating multiple female plants. Pruning can be done in spring just before new growth emerges. Mulching is beneficial.
