Vigorous, sturdy, shrub-like perennial. Large, showy, hollyhock-like flowers come in a variety of colors and bicolors including pink, white and red. Each flower has a prominent central staminal column which is white or yellow. Long bloom period from early summer to early fall. Broad-ovate to lanceolate green leaves. Great in borders or as a specimen plant.



Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers average to rich, consistently moist soil in full sun. Tolerant of heat and humidity, do not allow soil to dry out. Plant in locations protected from wind. Growing tips can be pinched back when plants are 8in and 12in if a bushier habit is desired. Cut back stems to approx. 3-4in in late fall. New growth is slow to emerge in spring.
