An old time favorite easy to grow perennial.  Trumpet shaped flowers appear on scapes during the summer.  Flowers come in a wide array of sizes and colors.  Each flower lasts one day, however; numerous buds on each plant ensure continuous color for many weeks.

Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

One of the easiest perennials to grow.  Hemerocallis does best in well-drained soil.  They are very drought tolerant once established. Deadheading keeps the plant tidy and promotes continued blooms for reblooming varieties.  Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter.  Divide every 3-4 years in the spring or fall to maintain vigor.
