Common Name: Sea Holly
Upright perennial with a clumping-habit and branched stems. Spiny, thistle-like green to blue-green foliage. Compound, globe-shaped, blue-grey flowers surrounded by a spiky, metallic blue bract. Blooms early to late summer. Great for mixed borders, rock gardens and wildflower gardens. It is an interesting dried flower for arrangements.
