Rhizomatous, clump-forming perennial. Great as a small area groundcover or edging plant, in woodland gardens and shady areas of rock gardens. Compound green leaves with pointed, toothed, heart-shaped leaflets. Racemes of short-spurred or spurless flowers in a range of colors including pink, white and yellow. Blooms in spring.
