Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soil. Grows in full sun to partial shade. Tolerates drought once established, heat and poor soil. Plants can be divided when becoming crowded, every 4 years or so. Plants may stiill rebloom without deadheading but doing so does improve plants appearance. Plants will self-seed if spent flowerheads are left. Leaving flowerheads through winter provides seeds which can be eaten by songbirds.
