Generally perform best in full sun and well drained soil.  Water plants regularly until established.  Once established, coreopsis is very drought tolerant. Deadhead spent blossoms regulary to encourage new blooms.  Shear the plant by 1/3 mid summer to rejuvenate the foliage and stimulate additional flower buds.

Genus Overview: Coreopsis

Common Name: Tickseed

Daisy-like flowers early summer-fall.   Many varieties are in the yellow to gold family; others are burgundy, pink, red, white. Foliage can be fine and feathery (c. verticillata) or more prominent and lance-like (c. grandiflora or c. hybrid)  Coreopsis is an excellent choice for garden beds, borders and containers.  A favorite due to its long bloom time, ease of growing and for being a pollinator magnet!
