Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:
Prefers loose, sandy-humusy, consistently moist but well-drained soil. Grows best in full sun. Avoid heavy clay soil and wet winter conditions. Plants will self-seed in good conditions, this is necessary to upkeep the planting as they are short-lived plants. Remove spent flowers to promote more blooms and cut back plant after flowering.
