A fast growing, woody vine. Tubular flower typically of red, yellow or orange from mid-summer-fall. The trumpet shaped flowers are loved by hummingbirds.

Homeowner Growing and Maintenance Tips:

Prefers full sun to partial shade.  Highly adaptable to most soil types (clay, loam, sand), but prefers moist, well-drained soil. It thrives in lean or average soils and does not require fertilizer. Prune as needed in winter to maintain control of the plant size and aids in best blooming.  Provide good strong support like a fence, arbor or large trellis.
