 Common perennial herb; also called fine-leaved or wild chives. They have a mild, sweet onion flavor and are a staple in many cuisines.  Both leaves and flowers are edible.  Flowers are purple and begin blooming in the summer. Harvest leaves by cutting towards base of the plant.

Grows well in well drained soil.  Prefers full to part sun.  To provent self seeding, deadhead blossoms as they begin to brown.  Divide clumps in the spring every few years.
